Relax and have fun under your sun umbrella
#ERACLEAMAREBLUEFLAG
Portofelice’s beach is a stretch of golden sand where you have all the space you need to build sandcastles, play with a ball or enjoy a game of beach volleyball. Our well-equipped beach is ideal for families as they can relax without a care in the world, leaving their kids to play in the calm, shallow waters that slope down gradually, without any danger.
Northern Italy’s Adriatic coast has fine, golden sands and shallow waters where children can splash around carefree, meaning parents don’t have to worry as they look on from the comfort of their sunbeds, listening to the happy laughter in the distance.
Portofelice’s beach is a long stretch of sun-kissed coastline, protected by reefs that create artificial jetties where you can swim in safety.
There are sun umbrellas and sunbeds to relax, your little ones can run up and down the water’s edge and build sandcastles and there’s even a bar where you can have lunch or enjoy an aperitif next to the sea.
Our beach is fenced-in and has its own toilet facilities, changing room and shower.
You can rent sun umbrellas and sunbeds seven days a week, subject to request and availability, for an extra fee. Our beach service runs from 9.30am to 7pm, from 11th May until 15th September.

Eraclea Mare - Blue Flag Beach 2023
There’s a Blue Flag flying above Eraclea Mare, the prestigious recognition that the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) has been granting the resort since 2007, based on both its beauty and the characteristics of its sea, beach and pine forest, and its compliance with precise quality criteria regarding the bathing water and services offered to tourists.
Some of the criteria ticked by Eraclea Mare’s beach include:
the authenticity of the bathing waters, with no industrial water discharge or sewers near to the beach; an appropriate number of rubbish bins provided; environmental initiatives involving residents and tourists; positioning of life jackets and life boats; ease of access to the beach, unauthorised camping and cars forbidden; balance between bathing activities and respect for nature.
A prestigious result for Eraclea, a city that’s been rewarded for its attention towards protecting the quality of its sea, coastline, environmental management, amenities and safety measures.
